Ethan Goodman, PhD

Research Scientist

Originally from Michigan, Dr. Ethan Goodman received his Bachelor of Science from Hope College. He went on to become a research technician for Dr. Kellie Tamashiro at Johns Hopkins University where he was a part of many unique projects centering around behavioral neuroscience. Ethan then got his PhD in Neuroscience at Ohio State University under Drs. John Sheridan and Jonathan Godbout where he investigated the bidirectional communication between peripheral interleukin-1β and hippocampal-dependent fear memory in the context of chronic social stress. After a brief stint working at a Michigan winery, he joined the lab of Dr. Tanuja Chitnis in March 2025 as a Research Scientist, where he focuses on the multiple sclerosis brain atlas project. Outside of the lab, Ethan enjoys reading, running, visiting new breweries with friends, and walking around new areas of Boston.
