My name is Laura Hernandez-Miyares, and I’m excited to start as a fellow in the Harvard Combined Pediatric Multiple Sclerosis and Neuroimmunology Program. I am originally from New York and completed medical school at the University of Pennsylvania before going on to child neurology residency at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Clinically, I am interested in neuroinfectious diseases and autoimmune encephalitis. From a research standpoint, I am interested in how clinical and paraclinical data can help differentiate primary neuroimmune diseases from their mimics, particularly neuroinfectious diseases. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, crocheting, cooking, and spending time with my husband and our munchkin cat.
